I loved this photo from the current issue of whole living magazine. I spent a good chunk of time oogling the details (which you probably can't see in this poor quality scan). I guess I'm the type of person that gets excited about rustic table settings.

Tomorrow the little one and I will be flying to Minneapolis. I just picked up this backpack/tote for our trip. I've tried a few diaper bag options and so far nothing has worked as well as I'd like. Hopefully this one will do the trick.

meet blanche

This week at the farmers market I bought eggs from a different vendor than my usual egg seller. When I got home and opened my carton I found a trading card featuring one of the farm's layers. I totally loved it. Honestly, I'll probably keep buying from them so that I can meet more of the flock!

Blanche is living the good life on the farm. Along with her sister, she was rescued from an unhappy situation, but is now a happy chicken. She is a bit skittish, but she is a loyal chicken friend.

in the studio

I've been thinking a lot about printing. On and off. For a long time.

Figuring out childcare, a workable studio space, a long range plan and the possibility of moving to a yet to be determined location have kept me away from printing for longer than I would have imagined. But now (with a little nudging from a friend) I've agreed to a local arts and craft sale and I've found myself in the studio.

I'm not thinking, I'm just doing. And it's fun.

I played around with some simple block printing because it's easy to start and stop. We'll see what else happens.
