We spend a lot of time on our deck. It's right outside our front door and is completely fenced in, so it's great place for the little guy to hang out. I wanted plants out there, but was stumped about what would hold up to a toddler who enjoys picking flowers and dropping rocks on plants.
After a little trial and error I came up with a plan that I think is going to work.I picked out some tough-looking succulents and I decided to incorporate a spot especially for rocks in each pot. After a few days things are still looking good, despite a visit from a small purple stegasaurus.
I just added a set of four leaf placemats to the shop.
I should have a new batch of hand-dyed tea towels available soon.
Hi! We were on the road last week. We drove down to Santa Barbara and made a few stops along the way to Pope Valley, San Luis Obispo and San Fracisco. The little one traveled like a champ - most of the time, at least. These photos are from the mission in Santa Barbara.
On another note, I've been really interested in the series this week on the cup of jo blog about balancing work/life/motherhood. This issue has been a big challenge for me to figure out. I'm still working on it.
