this made me cry a little. i was born in santa cruz and grew up in capitola. feels very far away from maine, that's for sure. hope your little family is having fun out there. the beach looks delish!

I see myself in that little girl in the photo. When I was 8, I used to collect glass shards that I thought were mermaid gems. I loved how they sparkled and shined when hit by sunlight. There will always be a special connection between me and the beach.
