Life has been a wee bit crazy of late but at least the thrifting has been good. Last week I spent one of my precious babysitter sessions hitting up my favorite thrift haunts and found a few gems. Here they are, top to bottom.
- I now own a vintage hot pink silk business suit. The blazer fits perfectly and I plan to wear it with jeans. The matching skirt is a little on the small side but is prettty cute, so maybe I'll squeeze into it. I think that I'd only wear the skirt and blazer together on halloween. It's a little intense.
- Can you believe that I almost passed on this fantastic necklace? Luckily technology stepped in and I was able to consult a couple trusted friends via iphone photos who set me straight. This necklace is going to be a show stopper when I have the occasion to wear it.
- Vintage coach shoulder bag. A good find indeed.
- Finally, this crazy ring. It reminds me of some kind of sea coral or anemone. It's not quite the pod ring, but a similar idea.
It took us a while to paint the house, but earlier this summer it finally happened.
These photos aren't the best (I took them in the blaring mid-day sun) but a few friends and family members wanted to see and the blog seems like a good way to share.
This week at the farmers market I bought eggs from a different vendor than my usual egg seller. When I got home and opened my carton I found a trading card featuring one of the farm's layers. I totally loved it. Honestly, I'll probably keep buying from them so that I can meet more of the flock!
Here is the write up on Blanche:
Blanche is living the good life on the farm. Along with her sister, she was rescued from an unhappy situation, but is now a happy chicken. She is a bit skittish, but she is a loyal chicken friend.
